Naft Asia has proprietary LP softwares to model all refinery process units such as atmospheric and vacuum distillation, naphtha , kero and diesel desulfurisation units, cat reforming, hydrocracking units, delayed coking, solvent extraction, visbreaking, FCCU and other secondary processing units. Also we maintain a library of in house data on process yield, utility consumption  and various crude oils properties. Modelling for a given refinery is done based on test run data obtained from various refinery units for process yield, refinery stream properties, utility catalyst and chemical consumption etc, product blending and product specifications. Service include preparation of refinery LP data base, LP model, and calibration of the model with actual refinery operation.

Refinery LP modelling.

Petroleum refining is a highly competitive industry. For an independent refiner who must buy his crude, refining margins are thin with the result that refiner must buy cheapest possible crude from the spot market to stay afloat. Thus a refiner may be processing as many as thirty crudes during the course of a year. However a crude must be evaluated before hand to access any technical problem in processing the crude in a given refinery and evaluate the overall economics of the crude purchase at the given price. Naft Asia can assist you in this by preparing an LP model of the refinery and running it with the proposed crude. The relative economics of processing various crude options can be accurately and quickly accessed.

Crude Evaluation

Project report for new grass root projects in the refining and petrochemical fields. A operating refinery may need to increase its crude throughput or add a new secondary processing unit  or tankage  to improve operational flexibility, debottlenecking. The bottom line is to increase refining margin. Such projects require new investment and to justify this investment , a proper technical and financial appraisal of the project must be done. Naft Asia can undertake such studies with the aid of refinery model and other financial software for discounted cash flow or equivalent methods for proper cost/ benefit analysis of the investment over the life of the project.
